On May 19th 2016 Trump named Paul Manafort as his campaign manager. Manafort served in that capacity until August 19th 2016. Manafort has a long history of working on behalf of Ukrainians allied with Russia. Manafort has been indicted for multiple crimes including tax evasion, money laundering and conspiracy to obstruct justice.
